AbstractThe first Audio-Visual Module (26 minutes) is divided into three parts. The first gives a general introduction to the site, with selected views of the environment and a brief history of previous excavations. The second part illustrates the process of discovery of a monumental building of the third millennium (which turned out to be the city wall), its main architectural features and the artifacts found in connection with it. The third part deals with the second millennium B.C.: several burial complexes were found, and part of a residential quarter, with large amounts of pottery and other utilitarian artifacts still in situ.Back to top Transcript of audioA full transcript of the audio portion has been produced from the original sound track by Ann Tsueng (we no longer have the original text).Back to top Printed notesThe notes of the AVM DS 1 were printed on a letter size page (those of the later modules were printed as booklets.
